is this a dream?

back from hawaii. felt elated and great to see my grandma, mum and dad at the airport waiting for my grand arrival. hahaha. i really missed my family. but now, i am starting to miss hawaii. ahhhh. everything about hawaii was great and enriching.

when we were arrive in singapore, everyone tried to console themselves by saying that they must be dreaming, it was a dream and when they woke up, they will still be in hawaii. and that we must have taken the wrong plane. hahahaha.

it was certainly an eye-opener. great experience. i was totally blown away. by the beach, the atmosphere, the people etc.

got so many to share. but first, this is it! the time when reality sets in. hawaii aftermath. from the start, i knew that if i dun enjoy myself in hawaii, i am going to regret. therefore, i tried to make the best out of it. however, despite knowing the fact, i can't help but regret. i did not feel the sand and water. stupid me did not bring my slippers along and i was way too lazy to take off my shoes. it seemed like only yesterday that we board the plane to hawaii.

meet a few other baritone saxophone player. coolness. they were great player. all their saxes were ilke gold. hahahaha. mine too. it been 32 days since i got my instrument. during the exchange rehearsal with A.J Dimond high school , i learn to make a note lower than A. put your feet into the bell. hahahhaa. anwyay, it was fun getting to know other people from other bands. it was pretty enriching and hilarious. moreover, i saw someone using a trolley to push his bari sax, wonder who is that smart guy. wanted to like borrow the trolley to push my bari to the pacific beach hotel. hahahahha. machines makes people's life much much easier.

sat with weelyn for the DINNER. there's like 2 other bari saxes player at our table. guess wad, we were the ONLY asians. like wow. forced myself to eat the salad. EW. it was quite okay, actually. the meal was stomach filling. got a blister, thanks to the shoes from pedalworks. painful.

we had to walk from ohana west hotel to pacfic beach hotel, for everything. at first, it seemed like a pretty long distance. but as we continue to walk, lugging my 12.35kg bari sax, almost everyday, it seemed shorter and shorter. i developed muscles. coolness. hahahaha.

i realised weelyn can fall asleep anywhere and everywhere. in the plane, while doing her work, after eating breakfast. you name it, you got it.

1st day. we had to report to the airport at 3.30am in the wee hours. everyone looked sleepy and unexcited. the united airlines made us feel so welcome, annoucing that they have with them, the st. anthony canossian secondary school who are going to hawaii for a festival, good luck and all the best. at that moment, i felt good. sat next to weelyn, in the window seat! weelyn fall asleep again. we arrive too early and we could only checked in at 3pm, so, we went sight seeing and shopping. the beach totally perks me up. the constant breeze was refeshing. and i found the sweets i love, only found in USA. hawaii's climate totally rocks. although it was sunny, it was still pretty windy. in anyway, it's still breezy and i dun remember perspiring at all. we walked around until night, where we totally missed study time. HAHA.

2nd day. breakfast was within walking distance. at Perry's Smorgy Restaurant. yummy. buffet style. love the hash browns and sausages. study time, used this time for personal stuff. oops. the KE people came and invade 864, cassandra, sascha, weelyn and my room. 4's a crowd, imagine having about 6 more. hahah. then our chaperone group B, consisting of Mrs Tan, weelyn, cassandra, carrisa, sascha, ben and sherri, meredith, jaslynn and me. went to ala moana shopping center. coolness. i wanted to get lots of stuff but realised i dun have my wallet with me, was so afraid, thought i lost my wallet. in fact, it was like on the bed. argh. false alarm. had warms ups in the Ahi room, wow, we could hear ourselves SO MUCH better. like, all the mistakes we made. once again, we had to walk back, lugging my bari sax, the people on the streets seemed to be enjoying our presence, the percussion section was like playing their insturments. and the rest of us were suffering behind.

3rd day. breakfast at Perry's Smorgy restaurant again. depart for pearl harbour and USS Arizona Memorial. unbelievable. so can't belive i was there. we had one hour to rehearse in the Marlin room. back to hotel, it's was study time aka prepare for dinner time. hahahha. the welcome dinner and dance. table 45.

4th day. busy day. breakfast at perry's. depart to ala moana shopping center to perform. wore our unifrom w/o the blue blazer. blue bra can be so obvious. wore sockings too, feel like i did not wear my skirt. hahahah. after sound check, we were slacking in the ballroom. intermediate band perform first, before that, tears were flowing freely. everyone was crying. so emotional. the senior band went to watched the first few bands perform. namely, our intermediate band, west ranch high school and concord high school. we left to get ready before A.J Dimond high school. i must say, i make lots of stupid mistakes during the adjudicated performance. ahhhhh. i guess we very much deserved a silver. although mr de said that he expected us to get a silver, i still dun feel really good about it.

5th day. exchange rehearsals and workshops at the pacific beach hotel. pretty educational and interesting. hahaha. everyone was excited for the exchange rehearsal with Epping Boys' High School from Australia, hahaha. you should know why. met another bari sax player. exchange rehearsal with A.J Dimond High School from Alaska, met two other bari saxes player, their low notes were wow. coolness. they entertain me alot that day. it was fun.

6th day. luau. big picture taken. hot hot sun. got sun tanned. pretty interesting hula dancing by our very own maxine and natalie. caught them on video. hahahaha.
went to ala moana again, had to shop really fast. sighs. no time to enjoy. but i love to shop quickly. the command perforance was perform by Epping Boys, everyone was excited once again. hahahhaha. and there was this thing about ben and sherri's. hahahha. one quote" would you fancy a cup of tea?" AHHAHAHHAHAHAHA. super hilarious. alright, i should stop teasing sherri about it, i have been done so for the past few days and i think she loves it. went back to hotel to pack my luggage and bubble pack my bari.

7th day. reluctantly depart for the airport. time passed really fast. missing everything about hawaii already. my mum told me to hard work now and save up, so i can go hawaii in the future. hope that this might motivate me to study hard.

i was slapped real hard back into reality. my life is in a mess now. incomplete assignments, new topics to learn. i am worried. but still missing hawaii.

at least i have been there.

off to hawaii in about 2 days. luggage is half packed. i dunno if i packed in everything i need. ahhh.

history std test today was pure luck. i totally did not study and in fact, we are tested on sbq. hahaha. phew.

got back our chinese mye paper. phew. i passed and improved. however, oral was pretty bad. i was so scared and shy lah. xing qi san just dun believe. and once again, she tested me again. guess i am going to fail.

and i must say, i totally agree with what casssandra said, w eelyn just keeps nagging and nagging. we will suffer under her hands. sniff.

showed my mummy my progress report. she actually praised me for like doing much better. felt so encouraged. hahahaha. she wants me to study hard after the trip.

i feel so unprepared now.

today was pretty slack... someone SKIPPED school today.. hmmmm, let see, who was that?

it like 4 more days to hawaii. it like we are going soon. it like ahhhhh, i am so not prepared. must go back tmr for self practice. it like i am so excited yet trying to keep my cool. hahaha. it like i have not pack my luggage.

oh yeah, audrey came to borrow a luggage today. hahhahaha, i think she needs to get use to the lugguage. hahahaha, she looks pretty stiff with it. she does not know how to handle it. haha, country bumpkin.

mdm heng liaw shu juan-ed like 6 times today, hahhaha, cause someone kept falling asleep and kinda smiled to herself while being half-asleep.

sighs. bari, bari, you are so pitiful, no one wants to use you. i feel really sad about it. looking back, i was like friggin happy to have cheryl as my junior at the auditions. cause she could like make a sound. however, it still boils down to the fact that the baritone saxophone is a super big and heavy instrument.

nevertheless, i must thank all those who simply adore the sound of the baritone saxophone. i think it's wonderfully beautiful. hahhahah. of course, with me playing it, it's better. hahahahha.

and i have to be in school at 0630 hour, to perform at the assembly period. after that, it CHEM TEST.

i can't wait for thursday to come. hahahaha.

ahhh. tmr's back to school. this is how super ultra fast my week has been.
school and band on monday, school on tuesday.

workshop with Mr Nonami on wednesday. He's a super funny guy, calling himself no name, easier for people to remember.

band on thursday, went to get my court shoes with jennifer and joycelyn in TM, hahaha, we were like shopping for clothes instead, in the end, jennifer brought her court shoes from istean. then we went to bata in eastpoint to get mine, hahaha, it's size 10! band today, was not good. sighs. now, abigail's playing the bari. i think it's my fault. cause i told mr de he could get a sec one instead of getting the sec two to play the bari sax. sighs. i guess not. i am like super upset. how i wish i will be playing in the band for another year, this way, there is no problem yet.

exchange workshop with loyang and whitley on friday. and we got our band uniform. hahaha. my blouse's sleeves are like super long, can do chinese opera. the exchange workshshop was fun, i saw 3 other bari saxes. it like super cool. was supposed to like go to night safari but got family gathering instead, the food is like super yummy. and we went to macs for desserts. hahahha. ate too much.

this is how my weekend has been. sighs. on sat, went to ccps to coach the juniors. i saw a new saxophonist. so cool. she's only primary 3, small and cute, but she learn pretty fast. was like super tired, i slept through the afternoon and went to vivocity to shop. hahahhaha. i found my outfit for the dinner and dance. YAY.

it like 5 more days to hawaii. next week, i think i cannot focus in class. hahahha. i will be dreaming about hawaii instead.

finally

finally, the truth was told. our progress paper. ahhhh. well, i failed like 5 tests. argh, 5 subjects, 5 tests. wad the. but i will persevere in my effort to do well. bey bey is super mean lah. she gave a little note to those who has been working hard, according to her. shouldn't she be encouraging others to work hard as well? she so bias although she said she not. oh well, i will just write a little note for myself then.

finally, the two days of torture is over when the bell rang at 1415 hour today. we are the only stupid fools who goes to school during the march hols. waste 2 days already. actually, i already switched to the holiday mode last sat. hahahaha. i could not be bother about school at all.

finally, we had our amaths test on max and min problem. is was alright. i hope i will get a pass.

finally, BIO SPA, REAL TEST for o levels, was over. yay! sim was trying to be really nice, she gave us about the same thing for the practice, to help us. always giving credits to herself. self praise is international disgrace.

finally, i realised how much work i have got to do. so many assignments and stuff. argh. all by the time when school reopens on march 19.

finally, 10 more days to HAWAII. ahhhhhhhhhh. are you sure?

i saw justine today. hahhaha. she like, looks the same. her band is having her concert on march 24, one day after we leave for hawaii. ahhh. she got solo. all the best!

12 days to hawaii. i must be kidding. hawaii briefing for parents, SYF preview and SYF camp is finally over. WOAH. learnt about our rooming list and other stuff. AH. xing qi san is going to chaperone our group. wad the hell! that's what i call the path of the enemies meet. ARGH. and our tour manager... well, mrs chua said that it has to be a subject head who is not in charge of graduating classes.

going to be in the same room w eelyn. i am afraid. wad if casper comes in the middle of the night for her. i am terrified already. ahhhhhhhhh.

the next week will be really hectic and enjoyable, i hope. once it ends, i am not going to get my holiday anymore. sighs.

it turns out w eelyn's brother chinese name is also yang hui ting. COOL.

saw ms lim during the preview, she looks as though she is ready to go hawaii. love the shorts. i want one too.

just another daily routine

emaths std test was alright, pretty easy. hahhaha, it would be nice to score full marks. i must be dreaming. mdm ANNE heng called me 'li ting' instead of 'hui ting'. TSK. how can she forget my name? hahah. once again, they tried to called ANNE again, it's a pity, she did not like reply. wad the.

yesterday, i was so tired after doing all the homework, i ask my dad to like wake me up after 20 mins. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. i woke up at 5.50am instead. i was like in deep trouble, cause i have not complete my geog work. hahha, but i finished it during recess. woah, i could finally heave a sign of relief.

ms lim was saying cold jokes again. guess she was in a pretty good mood, which is good for us. hahha. and she always pay lots of attention to RJ. hahhaaha.

and maxine took my green eraser. TSK her. i felt like sleeping during emaths. i think bey bey saw. but she was 'bo cha'-ing.

school is ever so boring. i consoled myself to go school. i dun seemed to find any joy going to school. it's like a routine that i had to, MUST, follow. i dun feel happy nor excited. and currently, most of the times in class, i just can't laugh out loud. sighs. HELP! what is happening to me?

16 days to hawaii.

performing for assembly tmr. a chance to show off my ever so awesome and beautiful saxophone. cool huh. hahahah.

tried to mend the relationship, was not entirely sucessful. i dun know if the problem lies with me or what. it is super uncomfortable. wanting to be nice and encouraging but by doing so, i feel like i am just giving in and not being myself. it's so awkward. i can't believe people actually thinks that way, but, like i always say, it not easy to change the mindset of others, and why should i even care, when so long as your conscience is clear, you should not even bother about what others thinks. however, this is a huge thing, i am very worried and concern about this matter.

will be super busy next week. ah. more assignments for the hols.

i actually understood the test for cations today, like after a year. i feel accomplished cause although it is like last year topic, it is never too late, i guess. haha.

emaths, well, bey bey kinda give us a lecture on not hand up our assignments. oops, she got really furious. and i have to pay S$413 for the o levels exams. another sign to show that o levels is nearing.

we had bio test on excretion today. bet eveyone gave up and went into a deep sleep instead. hahahha. the first question was like 24 marks. majority of the paper, and i could heard everyone saying "shit" when they turn the paper over. hahaha.

amaths was fun, cause the homework that mrs heng gave, she made us do during class and even went through with us, majority of it is completed. hahaha.

ms loh came to talk to us during english, i was happy cause, we were missing english lesson. i thought they planned it out but actually mrs teo was like late for 10 minutes. HA HA.

ms loh came with ms lim and mrs margaret teo again after english, she talked about feedback form the teachers and attempt to help us solve our problems. but i could not believed the fact that bey bey actually wrote on the feedback form, that we think we know everything and that we are self-centered. she broke my heart. i still cannot believe that she actually thought that way about us. like wow. i have to agree with wad the other teachers mention, for example, the laid back attitude, no sense of urgency, no quality work, not handing in work on time and the cleanliness of our classroom. sighs. seriously, i just am not motivated. argh. why?

went stationary shopping with jennifer. hahha. so tempted to buy so many stuff. argh, glad to have my mummy's sponsorship. hahaha, in the form of money, of course. brought another curve ruler, cause my old one is like not flexible enough. wad the hell right.

it's FATE

the moment of truth. chinese MYE. was alright. could understand the passage but am too lazy to read. it's quite boring, felt sleepy at one time. but rushed through in like 5 mins, like WOW. the essay was okay, wrote rubbish actually. haha.

anyway, i would like to FOCUS more on w eelyn and her fate, it is such a coincidence. hahahaha, see w eelyn, FATE is a very powerful thing. it does not only occur once or twice. it happened like uncountable times. time and time again, both of your paths cross. oooh, SO SWEET. it was like so hilarious, could not stop laughing. but i must say, you should not go against FATE, w eelyn, better beware.

ms tung, after doing her SPA test, foolishly left her wallet and watch in the lab. since she was sick, i had to help her ask the aunties of the labs. hahah. so luckily, it was found and clarissa has to pick them up herself tmr. she was only going to give me ONE stick of pokey. super miser. then, it was the whole packet of jokey, the imitation. wad the. it sucks big time. dun ever buy JOKEY. never. in the end, she is going to give me six sticks of pokey. stil miser but great improvement made.

weighed my bari, it like 12.35 kg!!! WOW, SUPER HEAVY. that's why i tends to bend to the opposite side whenever i carry my instrument. hahhahah.

there is assembly performance on thursday. 0630 hours, must be awake and in school.

SYF CAMP PART 2, is special for concert band. we are special and unique people. hahhaa, we dun need to stay over in school and there is hawaii briefing for parents.

issue of progress card is tmr! bet there is like 5 or more red marks. which i dun wish or want to have. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. there is BIO TEST on excretion too. sighs.

sim tried to ACT cool today. she said she is not going to stop us from talking, she is just going to show her hand and expect us to stop, which i think, will never happen in our class. give it up, sim! hahaa.

new book of MISSING is here, ahhh. i want. i want. and maxine was like, "i can't believe you read such books." she even thinks i am not cool. because i bring a water bottle to school. and so i wrote a post-it for maxine. it says" i am the coolest person because i dun bring a water bottle to school. i drink water from the water COOLer. yeah yeah, maxine. COOLer person.

yes yes. thank you to w eelyn for changing the tagboard's colour. haha.

had bio SPA test, ahhhhh. it was cool. we tested on urine. hahha. michelle asked sim if the urine were real, cause she spill some on herself. sim started to laugh and smile really sweetly. yuck. sim said, read the question. okay. so i guess, no answer is the best answer. was discussing whether we got the correct answer. i think i got it. at least i hope so.

hawaii is nearing, the pressure is rising. must make sure i know how to play every single part of it. i still cannot believe that in like 19 days, i will be in hawaii. AWESOME.

no band on friday. bari was at home waiting for me to go back and season it. hahaha. band was on sat morning. cab to school, ms clarissa tung, carried my instrument from the gate to foyer. MACHO ah. realised ALOT of people simply adore HANA KIMI. hahaha. cool.

slept the whole sat afternoon. woke up in the evening, just in time to go to alyssa's house for family gathering. brought all my assignments along but as always, i did not do them.

sunday, my house for family gathering, die. chinese MYE is the next day. and i did not do anything constructive, ahhhh. but i couldn't care less.

cold sound

today, i sqeaked during the mass. the worst thing ever. although i sounded like louder, there hardly seemed to be any feelings and that i can't seem to be able to control the notes and all.

i must get used to it lah. sighs. it is like so new and i need to 'season' it. by practicing more, playing more. i brought it home today. ahhh. practiced for a while, realised i got like plenty of stuff to completed. sure die. sighs.

today's practice absolutely is terrible. we dun seemed to be putting our heart and soul into it. sighs. definitely can be improved. we must prove ourselves.

school's really contradicting lah, say what do your best but in fact, they want us to get gold. not supportive yet demanding.

hawaii is 22 more days. it's like friggin near.
SYF is about 32 more days.

i might just die a happy man knowing that the instrument came. another barrier to overcome, getting to know the instrument.haha.
